Quantum high-order Fourier analysis and its application

Kaifeng Bu | Ohio State University

Fourier analysis has long served as a fundamental tool in theoretical computer science, probability theory, and additive combinatorics for understanding the structure of functions on discrete groups. In quantum information, analogous structures arise when studying quantum states, operators, and computational resources. In this talk, I will introduce quantum higher-order Fourier analysis, a framework that extends classical Fourier and higher-order Fourier techniques to quantum systems. I will also discuss its applications in several tasks, such as stabilizer testing, magic measures, and the quantification of the Clifford hierarchy.
