Making rigorous photon-number cutoff for optical detection setups
Squashing maps are used to rigorously make a single photon-number assumption for optical setups when applied to adversarial tasks such as QKD. In this talk, I will explain what squashing maps are, and describe a commonly used squashing map - the flag-state squasher.
