Learn about all the interesting work that is being done at Waterloo in the area of Chronic Disease Prevention!! The symposium will include presentations highlighting the project work of seed grant recipients. It will also provide an opportunity for discussing
emerging issues and promising areas of focus within chronic disease prevention.
We are pleased to announce that Rodney Ghali, Director General of the Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention at the Public Health Agency of Canada, will be the keynote speaker.
Rodney spent over fifteen years at Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada in various positions such as Director General, Director of Strategic Policy, and Senior Advisor to the Deputy Minister. He has worked on numerous legislative/regulatory initiiatives and health-related issues including: healthy living chronic disease prevention, food and consumer product safety, reproductive technologies, aboriginal health, blood safety and mental health.
