Graduates start a new chapter at the forefront of quantum information
The Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) congratulates the 22 graduates who received their University of Waterloo degrees from the Faculties of Engineering, Mathematics and Science at Spring Convocation 2026.
IQC graduate students are a key part of how the Institute advances fundamental and applied research through the collective strength of seven University of Waterloo departments, underpinning tomorrow’s quantum technologies.

“Congratulations on this milestone. We wish you the very best in the new chapter ahead. IQC celebrates your accomplishments and the contributions you’ve made to the field of quantum information and the Institute. We hope that you are proud of yourselves, because we are!"
- Dr. Norbert Lütkenhaus, Executive Director at IQC and Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy
