Twenty-five new students began their studies at IQC this week, nearly all of whom are enrolled in the innovative collaborative graduate studies program, which is now entering its second full year.

The new students — who have come to IQC from Poland, the Ukraine, Turkey, Colombia, England, Nigeria, Iran and all across North America — will work alongside IQC’s world-leading team of faculty, postdoctoral fellows and students on a wide variety of topics in quantum information.

“The biggest breakthroughs in quantum information have yet to be made,” said IQC Executive Director Raymond Laflamme, “and it will be the new generation of scientists who will move the field ahead. So I’m delighted to welcome such an excellent group of students to IQC.”
