The purpose of this workshop is to consider the problem of efficiently simulating various quantum physical systems by quantum algorithms, particularly quantum field theories.The goals are to clearly formulate the problems and determine the feasibility of solving them. A more general goal is to improve interactions between different communities that have an interest in quantum field theories and quantum computing.
The Early Researcher Award program (ERA) is a new program that aims to help promising, recently-appointed Ontario researchers build their research teams of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and research associates.
The ultimate goal of the program is to improve Ontario's ability to attract and retain the best and brightest research talent in high-priority economic areas.
