Most high school mathematics curricula do not teach some of the mathematics necessary to help students understand quantum mechanics and cryptography. The Mathematics of Quantum Mechanics is written to ease students into the mathematics of quantum mechanics – complex numbers, linear algebra and how they are used to describe quantum phenomena.
The mathematical approach described in this book is very well suited for quantum information and quantum cryptography and has been used as part of the Quantum School for Young Students (QSYS) at IQC for over a decade.
