Aftab Patla Memorial Cup Hockey Game

The 12th Annual Aftab Patla Memorial Cup was held Tuesday March 27th, 2018.

The puck drop was at Columbia Icefields Arena at 4:30 p.m.

Teams Pink and Gold were well stacked, and all the players were at peak performance!

History of the cup

Dr. Aftab Patla
This fun and entertaining fund-raising hockey game began in 2007 to commemorate our colleague and mentor who died after a courageous battle with cancer. Professor Aftab Patla was a professor of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo for 25 years with a research interest in health, aging and human movement.

2017 Highlights

This year Team Pink and Team Gold pulled out all the stops to deliver heart-pumping jaw-dropping action, fun, and excitement.

Unfortunately, some of the faculty couldn't keep it clean. The ref had to make an example of Dr. McIlroy.
