To determine whether a student has fundamental knowledge of their field and has the capacity to engage in scholarly communication and research, the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences (KHS) requires that all PhD students pass a PhD comprehensive/qualifying examination. Comprehensive examinations take place in term 3 or 4.
The KHS Grad Office must be notified at least 90 days prior to the written examination.
