The candidate for the PhD degree is required to demonstrate achievement in a program of research in his/her field of expertise.
Submission of PhD thesis for examination is the culmination of the candidate's research program and provides an opportunity for the presentation of the results to members of the University and the community.
The main steps associated with the submission of a PhD thesis are:
- The appointment of the Thesis Examining Committee
- The submission of the thesis
- The oral examination and defense of the thesis
- Submission of the accepted thesis to the Graduate Studies Office
The PhD thesis defence is coordinated by the Faculty of Health Associate Dean (Graduate) office.
