This summer, the Library is highlighting the talents of our staff and their creations. Featuring installations, weaving, photography and more, come see what our staff do in our off hours! Located in the display case across from Browsers.

Join Library Ambassadors Mariam and Samantha as they host Accio Potterheads, an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book. Take photos in the Harry Potter photo booth, receive your own acceptance letter to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and play Harry Potter-themed games for a chance to win prizes!
This session will provide a simple overview of copyright and the implications it has on your teaching. By the end of this session you will be better prepared to:
- Use copyright-protected works in the classroom, on LEARN, or through Course Reserves
- Choose alternate options for using materials, if necessary
George Orwell was the pen name of Eric Arthur Blair, a British author, journalist and critic. Best known for writing Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four, Blair wrote several influential essays and stories. Library Ambassador Dennie has created a book display at the Dana Porter Library to celebrate Pride Month and show support for the 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
Build a better research essay by using the Library’s resources and databases to explore a topic, develop a research question, write a thesis, and build an argument. Research-based essay planning and development will help you create a more complex argument and essay structure.
