Astute readers will already know that Special Collections & Archives has been posting interesting images from the archives every week for #tbt (or sometimes #FlashbackFriday, if we forget) on the Library's Instagram page.
As we go about our work, we frequently come across interesting items that we would like to share with the community, but that are not so well suited to Instagram. And so we have created this blog!
Our goal is to feature one item per week, though of course if things are especially exciting down here, we might have to go completely crazy and post more. We hope you tune back frequently, and enjoy what you find!
To start us off this week, we feature an old favourite from the Fred and Minnie Maines Library, Life's Garden by Beatrice Post Candler. In the second image below, we see an inscription by the author. Lastly, in the third image, we see that someone has added a note indicating that the book was published posthumously, in 1949. What makes this even more apropos is that the Maines material deals primarily with spiritualism!
