New zines! The scandalous story of women’s cycling!

Friday, July 23, 2021

Special Collections & Archives recently purchased items from Microcosm Publishing, an independent publishing source for books and zines discussing subjects such as DIY skills, gender, self-care, and social justice.

Women on Wheels: The Scandalous Untold Histories of Women in Bicycling by April Streeter is a feminist history of bicycling for sport and adventure. Among the zines purchased are Indigenous Noms: Cakes and Treats from Turtle Island by Faith G. Harper and How to Start a Feminist Restaurant by Alexandra Ketchum. See the Library catalogue for further information on these and all of SCA’s holdings.
