Congratulations to Martin Basiri, the CEO and co-founder of ApplyBoard, for their recent success on fundraising. In the Series D funding, ApplyBoard raised $375 million at a post-money valuation of 4 billion. Martin obtained his Mechatronics Master's degree in 2010 and with his brothers, Meti and Massi started ApplyBoard in 2015. The inspiration behind ApplyBoard is that they experienced difficulties in the process of studying abroad as international students.

ApplyBoard's goal is to connect students, institutions and recruitment partners to make the searching and applying process easier for all parties. The headquarter of ApplyBoard is in downtown Kitchener and has representatives from all over the world in more than 25 different countries. Last year, Linkedin named ApplyBoard as one of the three Top Startups in Canada. Currently, ApplyBoard is the largest online platform for international students and recruiters.
