Student life

The academic program within mechanical and mechatronics engineering is both stimulating and demanding, but we offer a lot more than just a challenging course load.

As a student at the University of Waterloo, you’ll have access to fun and interesting people and places within the department and faculty, the university as a whole and broader Waterloo area.

WATiMake Lab

WATiMAKE

WATiMAKE offers students spaces for students to get hands-on experiences with engineering activities like design projects, course activities, prototypes, and much more. The labs are located in DWE 3509 and 3508. Plus, we have MME Clinic staff who can assist students with projects and provide instructions for the safe use of equipment.
