New endowed chair in nanotechnology

Dr. Kevin Musselman has been announced as a new endowed chair of nanotechnology engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Musselman, a mechanical and mechatronics engineering professor, began his term as an endowed chair at the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology on Nov. 1.

Dr. Kevin Musselman is an endowed chair of nanotechnology at the University of Waterloo.

His research has helped to pioneer the application of spatial-atomic-layer-deposition thin films in a variety of applications, including photovoltaics, chemical sensors, LEDs, memristors, high-frequency diodes and antimicrobial coatings.

Musselman’s work on spatial atomic layer deposition has been recognized with research excellence awards from the University of Waterloo, the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation.
