Noon Hour Concert: Selections from 24 Paganini Caprices

Ben Sung, violinistThe name Paganini conjures as much myth as history for musicians and violinists.  Portraits reveal a gaunt, ghostly man, and much of the music he composed asks for seemingly impossible feats of time and distance.  Join violinist Benjamin Sung for a performance of Paganini's Opus 1: the 24 Caprices for violin solo.  Taken together, these works are a testament to the potential of human achievement - in creativity, in expression, in technique, and in art.
