Chiharu inumaCellist Tom Wiebe and pianist Chiharu Iinuma will perform pieces by Chopin, Debussy and Takemitsu.  Thomas Wiebe is Associate Professor of Violoncello at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University in London.

Sing For Water

Sing for Water Banner

At this public event, Jane Ramseyer Miller, Artistic Director of One Voice Mixed Chorus, Minnesota’s GLBTA chorus and Artistic Director for GALA Choruses, will lead us in singing and reflection. She will inspire us to give thanks for the gift of water that is fundamental for all of life, and will challenge us to commit to the fair and just care of water for all people. Opening and welcome by Blue Sky Singers, a group of First Nations singers.

Music by the Rocks

Gamelan EnsemblePlease join us for an impromptu music concert in the beautiful UWaterloo Rock Garden.  Members of our Balinese Gamelan Ensemble will perform.  You may even get a chance to try out an instrument yourself.  The concert will start at noon and go for approximately an hour, weather permitting.  Bring your lunch and stay a while.

Instrumental: Instrumental Chamber Ensemble; Jazz Ensemble; Orchestra; World Music Ensemble (Balinese Gamelan)

KW Wind QuintetThe KW Woodwind Quintet has chosen a program of delightful music by French composers to showcase the "jolie vent" that wind instruments create.
