A concert of mixed American and Canadian Jazz Compositions.  Included in the this performance the music of Duke Ellington, Rob McConnell, Pat Metheny, Thelonious Monk and Dave Young.  

The UWaterloo Jazz Ensemble plays a selection of classic jazz pieces, especially suitable for a summer afternoon.

A jazz concert encompassing Jazz Compositions influenced by the traditions and talents of America, Canada, and Cuba, with a Christmas twist thrown in just for fun!

This term will feature a mixed program of straight ahead big band swing inspired by the "Count Basie Orchestra", Gordon Goodwin and his "Big Phat Band" as well as Rob McConnell’s "Boss Brass”.

Worldly Jazz from Chile

Music of the Chilean Subhira Quintet (led by the composer, musician and environmental activist Rodrigo Cepeda, Subhira) combines musical ethnic roots of Chile and other countries with classical music, jazz and South American rich dancing traditional music.

The Grebel Jazz Collective

Featuring some familiar faces from University of Waterloo's Music Department faculty, Michael Wood (percussion) and Ernie Kalwa (baritone & tenor sax). Joined by fellow jazz musicians, enjoy an hour of tunes to tap your feet to.
