The Fair will be returning to an in-person event this year at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This year’s event is a shortened one taking place over two days, October 1 and 2 from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day.

Auditions for seven different Music Ensembles will start the first week of classes.
Auditions are open for Fall 2019 Ensembles. You may take these for credit or as an extracurricular activity. Ensembles are open to all University of Waterloo students.

Choral Ensembles are open to all University of Waterloo students. You may take these for credit (.25 units on top of regular course load) or as an extracurricular activity. See our Ensemble page for details, and to see which ensemble would suit your musical tastes and abilities.
Join us for a University of Waterloo Balinese Gamelan Ensemble mini-concert and demonstration on Friday, September 6th at noon. The Peter Russell Rock Garden is a lovely place to enjoy even a few minutes of music. Stay after the concert and try a few instruments yourself.

The orchestra needs 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, & 2 bassoons 4 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, and a tuba

David Gueulette, President of the Ontario Music Educators’ Association, will be at Conrad Grebel to make a presentation about the OMEA and to answer your questions about a career in music teaching in the schools. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and to make a connection with the OMEA.
We will meet in Rm. 2201 (the Paetkau Seminar Room, near the main entrance of the College). Feel free to bring your lunch. All welcome: current and recent music grads.
Amanda Brunk, local performer, teacher, clinician, adjudicator, and founder/director of the Singer's Theatre, will present options for earning a living as a musician. Presented by Music Living & Learning, admission is free. Pizza and beverages are available after the presentation.
