Music 226: Studio (individual lessons for credit) | Music

Did you know any Waterloo student can take a studio course (individual lessons: voice|piano|instrumental), Music 226, for a full credit elective?

Music Studio courses offer individual instruction in voice, piano, organ, all orchestral instruments, saxophone, and accoustic guitar. Music studio courses are MUSIC 226, 227, 326, 327, 426, 427, and 428. Only students applying to take Music Studio for the first time (MUSIC 226) need to audition. Auditions take place at the start of the term that you wish to take the course. See music studio auditions.

Acceptance into Music Studio is by audition. The minimum acceptable level of performance is approximately equivalent to Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 8; the audition process will assess ability to sight-read, musicality, preparedness, and potential for further study.
