The 66th Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod takes place in Wales from July 3 - 8, 2012.

Six days of the best music and folk dance, and all the world in one place!

Every summer since 1947 Llangollen has staged one of the world’s most inspirational cultural festivals. Each year over 4,000 performers from across the globe head to the beautiful little Welsh town to take part in a unique event combining competition, performance, and international peace and friendship. Around 25 different competitions celebrate song, music and dance, climaxing with the prestigious ‘Choir of the World’ where winning choirs compete for the Pavarotti Trophy.

Jocelyn Burgmann, Honours Music

  • To be eligible, a student must be graduating (or have graduated the previous Fall) with an honours or joint honours degree.
  • Students in joint honours can only win an award in one of their major disciplines.
  • The overall average of any award recipient must be a minimum of 83.0%.

Of international note

Upon nomination from the Department of Music at Conrad Grebel University College, Mr. Jean-Philippe Collard received a Doctor of Letters from the University of Waterloo during convocation on June 16, 2011.
