This weekend there will be 2 concerts featuring the music of Arvo Pärt, both directed by Grebel professor Mark Vuorinen. Pärt, the most often performed living composer in the world, celebrated his 80th birthday this fall. The concerts this weekend together celebrate the living legacy of this deeply spiritual and prolific composer.

The premiere of Aperi, Domine, os meum written by Professor Emeritus Leonard Enns, is on Wednesday evening, Oct. 27, 2105 at the Philharmony in Warsaw, Poland. Enns will be presents as this four minute a cappella work, commissioned by the Academic Choir of the Warsaw University of Technology, will be performed.
Conrad Grebel University College is pleased to welcome I Dewa Made Suparta as an Artist-in-Residence at the Music Department at the University of Waterloo.
The summer term is not necessarily quiet in the University of Waterloo’s Department of Music, housed at Conrad Grebel University College. There were several courses and numerous studio lessons taught along with many ensemble rehearsals and concerts. The end of August is also a time when Grebel hosts the Ontario Mennonite Music Camp which also brings energy and creativity to the halls of Grebel.

Amanda Kind (BA '06, Music) is the Artistic Director for KW Glee. The youth pop choir of 112 combined local teenagers who just won the title of Show Choir Canada.
More than twenty choristers with ties, past and present, to Conrad Grebel University College’s Music program joined a cast of nearly 1000 for the Luminato Festival’s epic production of R. Murray Schafer’s Apocalypsis at Toronto’s Sony Centre on June 26-28.
