Accredited, professional 4-year Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree

Are you interested in becoming an Optometrist in Canada?

Waterloo’s School of Optometry and Vision Science offers an ACOE-accredited*, professional, 4 year Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. The School is the only provider of English language instruction of optometry in Canada (the only French language school is the École d'Optométrie at the Université de Montréal).

The Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) has granted University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, Doctor of Optometry (OD) the accreditation status of “Accredited.” Accredited is a classification granted to an educational program indicating that the program generally meets the Standards for accreditation.
