Biography
Dr. Julie Shalhoub was born and raised in Tecumseh, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph and subsequently earned a Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2015. She then completed a residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Waterloo she was an assistant professor at SCO.
Dr. Shalhoub is a Clinical Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, at the School of Optometry and Vision Science. She practices mainly within the Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy department. Her clinical expertise and interests address the evaluation and treatment of conditions such as amblyopia, strabismus, eye teaming dysfunctions, and brain injury rehabilitation.
