Advancing Pharmacy Knowledge for Better Patient Care

The Lifelong Learning team at the School of Pharmacy offers continuing professional development (CPD) programs for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, affiliated health care professionals, and members of the general public. Programs are designed to improve patient outcomes by increasing therapeutic knowledge for practitioners.

CCCEP Accredited Provider Status

As of January 2022, we achieved Accredited Provider status from the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP), a national organization established to accredit continuing pharmacy education programs. As an Accredited Provider, we demonstrate compliance with high quality, proven continuing pharmacy education standards and guidelines. As a provider of both accredited and unaccredited programs, we note that only CCCEP-accredited programs carry the CCCEP logo on their individual program page and other promotional materials. We also submit programs for accreditation under other accreditation bodies; accreditation information will always be provided on the course website. This free series of multimedia modules is directed at pharmacists provides current information about the role of vaccinations in pregnancy.

Vaccine recommendations and schedules for before, during, and after pregnancy
Providing vaccination care for patients who are planning or are currently pregnant in your pharmacy practice

This program is made possible by an independent medical education grant from Pfizer. All users who complete the course (achieving at least 70% on the final quiz) can download a Statement of Completion.

Pharmacy5in5 is an online learning platform designed by pharmacists for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and students. It is a digital tool that allows users to test their knowledge and understanding of ongoing trends in pharmacy and healthcare. Pharmacy 5in5 tackles unique therapeutic and practice-based subject matter in over 40 published modules. New content is added regularly.
