Community Service Learning

A requirement of our undergraduate program, Community Service Learning  gives students an opportunity to learn about and engage with social service organizations in order to better understand their role in serving vulnerable populations and in improving community health and wellness.

Pharmacist Awareness Month Education

Each March, our students run PAM Outreach, an series of educational classroom workshops about topics like smoking, hand washing, and medication safety.

Meagan McGill: Volunteer Companion for the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington

Between May and December of 2015, Meagan spent two hours of every week with her friend Reg, an 83 year old gentleman with Alzheimer’s disease.

Manu Kahlon: Outreach Volunteer for the AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Area (ACCKWA)

At ACCKWA, Manu conducted outreach presentations with gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) in Waterloo Region.

Ryan Pelletier: Volunteer on the Sanguen Health Centre's Community Health Van

Ryan's a regular volunteer on the Communtiy Health Van which travels to meet those in need in their community, offering health services and goods that meet basic needs.

Khrystine Waked: Assistant Swim Coach for the Special Olympics Ontario

Being a swim coach for the Kitchener Crusaders Swim Team puts Khrystine in a one-on-one mentorship role with children with intellectual disabilities.
