Campus Master Plan

As an institution aspiring to global excellence, the University of Waterloo is constantly growing and changing. In 2007, the Board of Governors decided to update the 1992 campus master plan to accommodate growth over the next 25 years while preserving and enhancing the quality and integrity of the campus and its natural environment.

Waterloo engaged Urban Strategies to develop the campus master plan update. The plan has been prepared through a consultative process including: interviews with key stakeholders throughout the Waterloo community, an open house, interactive workshops, input from the City of Waterloo, Region of Waterloo, and an online public consultation.

The most recent campus master plan was approved by the Board of Governors at its February 3, 2009 meeting.
