In Public Spaces:
All waste receptacles in public spaces across all campuses are serviced by Plant Operations on a frequency outlined in the Custodial Service Schedule (exceptions include Housing, Affiliated University Colleges, Grad House, Grounds rooms, etc.).
Food Locations
Waste generated in cafeterias is serviced by Plant Operations.
Waste generated in the servery and kitchen areas of food serving establishments on campus is to be removed by the relevant group — such areas are not serviced by Plant Operations. Waste must be removed to the relevant dumpster outside the building.
Offices (except Housing, Affiliated University Colleges, Grad House, etc.)
Plant Operations services large multistream receptacles in shared office spaces.
Plant Operations also services black garbage bins in private offices in accordance with the Custodial Service Schedule.
Please note in all private offices, occupants are responsible for emptying both black saddle totes and any blue recycling totes into the correct stream in hallway receptacles. Empty saddle totes will be cleaned, if required, as part of office cleaning as per the Custodial Service Schedule.
Outdoor areas
Plant Operations Grounds staff service outdoor receptacles as per the Grounds Service Schedule. Waste receptacles used inside an outdoor tented area for events are serviced by Custodial staff.
