Madison is an innovative, forward-thinking entrepreneur. As the Co-Founder of TAMVOES Health, she is regularly recognized for her involvement with youth entrepreneurship. She was 20 years old when she began scoping, envisioning and managing the development of the health technology platform, TAMVOES which allows users to securely store and share their personal health information. After two years of rapid iteration, TAMVOES has grown exponentially and was recognized as one of the Top 17 Tech Startups in Waterloo, Ontario. She grew her team to over 14 employees while completing her undergraduate degree at University of Waterloo and receiving an honourable mention for Co-op Student of the Year. Madison’s drive and perseverance alongside her education in health informatics motivates her passion of shifting the medical system to be more preventative as opposed to reactive and ultimately leveraging the power of technology to save money and improve outcomes.

Laura Wells graduated from the BSc Health Studies Honours Co-op program in 2019 before matriculating into the Queen's University's MD Doctor of Medicine program that same year. While in the co-op program, Laura worked at Robarts Research Institute as a Clinical Research Assistant and Sunnybrook Hospital as a Genetic Counselling Co-op Student. As an undergraduate student, Laura volunteered with weCONNECTu, UW WELL-FIT, and as a peer leader with the campus housing living learning community program. While at Queen's University, Laura has volunteered as a Course Representative, a mentor, a clerkship representative, among many other positions. Laura has worked as a Research Assistant with Queen's University on projects related to Simulation-Based Assessment in Medical Education and Emergency Department Care Experiences for Equity-Deserving Groups while also pursuing her studies as a third-year medical student. Laura has a diverse background of work and volunteer experiences in research and communication, which she has maintained in her professional studies.

Anis Sharafoddini completed her PhD in Public Health and Health Systems in 2019 from the University of Waterloo Health Data Sciences lab. Her PhD thesis was titled “Toward Precision Medicine in Intensive Care: Leveraging Electronic Health Records and Patient Similarity” and was co-supervised by Joel Dubin, PhD and Joon Lee, PhD. Before her PhD studies, Anis completed a BSc and MSc in biomedical engineering from the Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran. Anis’s PhD studies in the Health Data Sciences lab and work included using various analytical tools on big data sets to derive actionable insights. Anis currently works at Deloitte, one of the Big Four professional services networks, as a Senior Data Scientist. She is affiliated with the life sciences and health care group at Deloitte and has worked on various projects for big hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
