Laura Dyck
Laura Dyck recently completed her final year in the International Development Program, a partnership between the faculty of Environment and St. Paul’s college.
“I just returned from a field placement in Lima, Peruwhere I worked for the Centre for Black Peruvian Women’s development. I chose this organization because of the incredible work they are doing to empower black women leaders.”
Each year, hundreds of students like Laura have the opportunity to learn and work abroad, thanks to a number of scholarships created by donors who are passionate about supporting international experiences for young people.
“Receiving an international experience award has allowed me to gain the most from my time in PeruI travelled all over the country, engaged fully in my volunteer work, and focused on what I could contribute to the centre knowing that I didn’t have to worry about finances.”
