Elective courses

Electives are courses you can choose, allowing you to study topics that interest you. Electives, when added to your core courses, make up the total number of units needed to complete your degree.

Elective course options for graduate students in SEED programs are diverse and include:

  • Courses that are offered (and may be required) in other SEED programs (including course codes SUSM, ECDEV, ENBUS and DEVP)
  • Courses offered in SEED are electives for everyone, and may be open to students across campus.
  • Courses offered in other departments in the University (not listed on this page)

You can refer to course details provided in SEED’s course outlines (for current and previous years), and official course descriptions in the graduate calendar. The Graduate Schedule of Classes will list courses being offered in the upcoming term.
