Jeffrey Wilson is a leading Canadian expert in sustainability management working at the interface of economic and environmental research and policy. Dr. Wilson’s research specializes in low carbon pathways, natural capital accounting, ecosystem goods and services valuation, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability strategy. He has published 31 peer reviewed journal articles, an edited book, nine book chapters and dozens of technical reports, which are well cited, with over 1500 citations to date (Google Scholar). He enjoys teaching, leading classes in sustainability economics, economic development theory, and corporate social responsibility. Dr. Wilson takes pride as a leading thinker on sustainability innovation, natural capital accounting and the net zero transition. He is a Research Associate with the Canadian Index of Wellbeing, member of the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy, and member of the Waterloo Climate Institute. Prior to joining the University of Waterloo in 2019, Dr. Wilson ran a boutique consulting firm for over 18 years working with industry and all levels of government specializing in sustainability measurement and strategy to advance low carbon pathways.
