Dear SAF community,

I hope you all have been having a great and relaxing summer. The School is getting ready to welcome our newest cohort with the fall term just around the corner.

This past June we welcomed and celebrated just over 400 new graduates from the Class of 2023 at Convocation. Congratulations to the newest members of our alum club!

Our AFM 334: International Study Course will be heading to Indonesia and Vietnam this August, as well as we are excited to be celebrating 10 trips with this course at an event in Singapore on August 25. Be sure to follow along on our social media channels to see photos and videos from these students once these trips get started.

I would be delighted to have the opportunity to speak with you, to learn about what you have been doing since graduation and discuss how you may stay connected to the School of Accounting and Finance. If you have news or updates you would like to share with the SAF community, please submit a Class Note and, do not hesitate to contact me via email, at vmhinde@uwaterloo.ca.

Kind regards,

Michael Leung (MAcc '07)

I, along with Billy Chung (PDAcc '99), recently helped the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter resume our longstanding annual dinner tradition – our first, post-COVID! We hosted 200+ alumni and friends and were joined by President Goel and many other dignitaries from Waterloo. I can’t wait until SAF visits Hong Kong again!
