Fellowship events have added colour to the current online learning environment for me and made my transition into university an exciting one!

The Fellowship Program has been one of the highlights of my first term studying Accounting and Financial Management (AFM) here at the University of Waterloo. In addition to meeting a group of like-minded and motivated peers, I have been introduced to numerous opportunities that I would never have even heard of otherwise.

Through the Fellowship Program, I have met friends to collaborate with on projects beyond the academic setting and have partnered with ambitious peers to put our learning into practice. With students from different backgrounds, it was an intriguing experience to work with and learn from Fellows in my year as well as in upper years. The fruitful learning experience outside the academics has complemented my classroom learning which gives me a well-rounded experience throughout my first term. These events have added colour to the current online learning environment for me and made my transition into university an exciting one!

Fellowship opportunities like blog-writing and becoming an ambassador for the community have given me a chance to voice my perspectives and reflect on my experiences during my first term. I was also recently introduced to my assigned Honouree and it has been a very great learning process for me. My Honouree has shown me different perspectives with in-depth insights into their career development. Having the guidance of someone currently in the industry gives me a clearer understanding of my future paths. The School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) leaders have facilitated my transition into university, and I am extremely thankful to have met some of the most supportive peers during my time here.
