Waterloo School of Accounting and Finance graduates are BEYOND READY

Our programs inspire professionals that are beyond ready by combining studies in accounting, tax, and finance with arts, mathematics, computing, and biotechnology. As relevant work experience is a feature of all SAF programs, our students are ready and eager to put their skills to work to support CPA, CFA, and business professionals year-round on 4 or 8-month work terms.

Congratulations to Lawrence Qianyu Zhang on capturing the CPA CFE National Gold Medal for his top performance in Canada on the 2018 CPA Common Final Exam.

CBV, adding value to a degree and professional designation

Katie Socka, MAcc '14, 2018 George Ovens Award winner
Co-op work experience is key to developing career-ready skills and enhancing technical knowledge. But when the links between studies and curiosity takes you off the beaten path, it can be a good thing.

An elective, ambition, and a natural sense of curiosity has led many graduates from the Masters of Accounting (MAcc) program to discovering a meaningful career path in business valuations.

Congratulations to Katie Socka, MAcc '14, on winning the 2018 George Ovens Award for achieving the highest score in Canada on the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) Membership Qualifying Exam (MQE).
