Because brownfield sites have various degrees of contamination, development of these sites involves risk, uncertainty, longer timelines to bring a project to completion and concomitant higher costs.
In developing these sites, UW will continue to work to the 'highest standard,' exercising its due diligence to the greatest extent possible.
Should situations arise where to proceed with a development would not be in accord with these principles, consultation with the Board will occur, with the expectation that activity will be halted until a resolution can be effected.
