Biography
Bilal Khan, Founder and Managing Director, Intuition Capital.
Bilal Khan is a recognized leader at the intersection of technology, finance, and public policy, with more than a decade of experience building organizations, shaping strategies, and investing in transformative innovation across North America. A builder, operator, advisor, and investor, he has been at the forefront of scaling companies, shaping ecosystems, and influencing policy in the global tech economy.
Bilal is the Founder and Managing Partner of Intuition Capital, an alternative asset fund backing some of the most promising entrepreneurs and companies in North America. He was previously Managing Director and Head of Snowflake Canada (NYSE: SNOW), where he spearheaded the company’s growth and operations as it rapidly scaled into a global leader in cloud computing, AI, and data technologies. Earlier in his career, he served as a Managing Partner at Deloitte, where he advanced the firm’s data, artificial intelligence, and innovation agenda while guiding transformative strategies for public and private sector clients.
As Founder and CEO of OneEleven, Bilal built one of North America’s largest scale-up innovation hubs, helping high-growth startups commercialize cutting-edge technologies and expand globally. He also served as Director of Policy and Senior Advisor to three Ontario Ministers of Economic Development, Trade, and Innovation, designing and implementing strategies that advanced the province’s economy. Trained as a lawyer, Bilal began his career in corporate securities law as Legal Counsel at Russell Investments, a U.S.-based multi-asset manager (acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group).
In addition to his investing work, Bilal co-founded Elevate Tech Fest, now one of Canada’s largest tech and innovation conferences. He has held fellowships at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy and Toronto Metropolitan University, served at the United Nations Centre for Business and Human Rights, and was a member of the Governor General’s Innovation Council.
Bilal is also deeply engaged in governance and community leadership. He serves on the Board of Governors of the University of Waterloo, where he sits on the Executive Committee and Chairs Finance & Investment Committee, former Chair of Audit & Risk. His past board service includes the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, TVO, the Canadian Club of Toronto, and as a founding board member of Toronto Global.
Bilal holds a JD from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, and is an alumnus of Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Centre, where he studied exponential technologies. His leadership and contributions have been recognized nationally, including being named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and featured on the Bay Street Bull Power 50 list.
