Jennisha Wilson is the Director, Anti Racism within the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-racism Office. This service area identifies and addresses systemic racism in the University's policies, procedures and practices. Previously, Jennisha served as the senior manager of Anti-racism Response. She leads a team of experts working towards ensuring that the University's programs and initiatives are inclusive and equitable for all, by grounding the work in an intersectional and trauma-informed lens.
Jennisha holds a BA in International Development Studies and Health and Society, as well as a Masters of Environmental Studies, from York University. As part of the research for her Masters, Jennisha was the principle researcher for the Jane-Finch Food, Youth and Health research project. The project aimed to make space for the voices of young racialized women in existing conversations about food security, health, wellbeing and community survival.
