Biography

Terry Mundell is an experienced executive and public affairs professional with over 25 years of public and private sector experience.  Most recently, Terry led Ontario’s tourism and hospitality sectors serving as President and CEO of Canada’s foremost provincial Associations, the Greater Toronto Hotel Association and the Ontario Restaurant, Hotel and Motel Association. Terry’s leadership was instrumental in leading Toronto and GTA urban centers through the SARs and COVID crises.

Terry has extensive expertise within the municipal sector. As President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, Terry served as an advocate for over 800 municipal governments. Most notable amongst his achievements was his leadership of the $13B realignment of services between Ontario and the municipal sector which transformed Ontario’s provincial-municipal relationship.

An active participant in public affairs, Terry has served on a number of boards, including the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, the Vintners Quality Alliance Ontario, the Business Tax Review Panel, Destination Toronto and as Chair of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.
