uXperience: Designing the Ideal Journey

Presented by Co-operators, the uXperience Design Jam is back for Spring 2026!
Gather your team and pitch your design—this term's theme is Designing the Ideal Journey. This Design Jam runs from May 22nd to May 29th, starting asynchronously from May 22nd- 28th, then in-person on May 29th for final prep and presentations to the Co-operators judging team.
This Design Jam is exclusively open to University of Waterloo students.
Will your team pitch the best design solution?
May 22nd - 28th: Asynchronous Design Jam
Create a team of 2 to 4 and register before Wednesday, May 20th!
On Thursday, May 21st, you'll receive your project package along with any group information and assets you may need. Start developing your project from the ground up, and get support along the way.
Remote mentorship appointments will be available with the Co-operators team from Tuesday, May 26th to Thursday, May 28th. The booking link will be shared after registration and appointments must be booked by Monday, May 25th.
Design Jam Rules
- You may only be on one team and each member of the team needs to register.
- Individual and pair registrants will be placed on a team.
- Failure to complete the required onboarding and/or meet with your industry mentor will result in disqualification.
May 29th: In-Person Final Prep, Presentations, and Networking
On Friday, May 29th, we'll all get together at the Stratford School for one final day of project prep, mentoring, and pitches in front of attendees and the Co-operators team.
Need a ride? We've got you covered!
Free round-trip transportation is available from the Waterloo campus to the Stratford School. Busses will depart and return at the Waterloo campus on Ring Road near Hagey Hall. Busses leave to Stratford at 8:00 am, and will arrive in Waterloo at approximately 4:00 pm.
