SDG Week Canada is happening from March 6-10, 2023, led by SDSN Canada at the University of Waterloo, the Sustainability Hub at UBC, and Colleges and Institutes Canada.  Campuses across the country are leading programming and communications to raise awareness about the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), spark conversations about opportunities for collaboration within and across campus borders, and accelerate progress on the SDGs in post-secondary institutions.

SDG Week Activities at Waterloo

There is lots of work underway at the University of Waterloo to advance the SDGs, through our teaching and research, campus operations, and engagement programming. 

Many departments and groups across campus will be leading activities during SDG Week to showcase their unique contributions. See below for a full list of activities. Learn more and register through the event pages linked below.

MONDAY, MARCH 6

1. Repair Hub Drop-In 

When: Monday, March 6, 4-6 pm (EST)

Description: Do you have items in need of repair? Stop by the repair hub to consult with an expert on how to fix it! The repair hub also has tools you can borrow to complete your own projects.

2. Hybrid Webinar: Wuikinuxv Nation Crabapple Orchard Restoration

1. Workshop: Taking Action Towards the SDGs

4. Teaching the SDGs: Innovations in teaching about the Sustainable Development Goals

2. Student Leadership for the SDGs

Description: Brighton Kaoma, Global Director from SDSN Youth is coming to campus to talk about student leadership for the SDGs and share his experiences mobilizing young people around the world. A great opportunity to meet a prominent young leader working globally to push for change.

3.  Sustainability Professionals Networking Event
