Do you have an innovative idea that could advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Then join the solutions hackathon, SDG Impact Challenge 2023!
Co-operative and Experiential Education, in partnership with the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) and Impact Alliance, invite Waterloo students from all disciplines, programs, full/part-time and years of studies to participate. This is an excellent opportunity to work together to create innovative solutions to real issues.
At the hackathon, Rajnish Jain, founder of Avani Bio Energy, will present a real-life sustainability challenge his India-based organization is facing. Students will work together in groups, based on four themes, to design a solution to Avani Bio Energy’s challenge. The themes are technology, economy, environment and society.
Sponsored by Waterloo’s Powering Change program, Global Skills Opportunity and the Queen Elizabeth Scholars, this is a collaborative event, not a competition â all groups will work together to design a single solution to the challenge. All students who actively participate in the event will be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of five $500 CAD cash prizes.
