Funded jobs

In WaterlooWorks, you can find work abroad opportunities that have funding set up as part of an award program. Before you apply, review the job description carefully to determine if you are eligible. Some of the funded programs include:

  • Powering Change: Through the University's Powering Change program, Waterloo students can apply to earmarked international work-integrated learning experiences and receive monetary awards to help overcome barriers to participation that they may face.
  • Change makers in co-opChange makers in co-op is a program that supports valuable, in-person co-op work experiences at non-profit organizations abroad. Funded by the Steele Family Foundation, each successful co-op student receives $10,000 CAD through the program.

Please note: Some jobs may be set up with multiple funding programs. However, these funding programs may not be combined. Students employed in a funded job will only be eligible for one award per year.
