20 Minute Makeover

The annual 20 Minute Makeover is happening again on the University of Waterloo campus! For Earth Month 2018, help to make our campus cleaner by grabbing a bag, gloves, and a couple friends to pick up garbage on campus!

The City of Waterloo is generously hosting this event across the City to help clean-up our natural environment.

Healthy Yards Lunch & Learn

Come out and join the Sustainability Office as we host Becca Robinson, RAIN Coach at Reep Green Solutions, for an exciting discussion on how you can create a healthier yard at your own home!

This year's event will focus on building commitment among all campus members to improve sustainability at the University and beyond.

Join the Sustainability Office for Zero Waste Week to reduce your material footprint and support our campus goal of becoming a zero waste campus by 2035. To support this transition, Waterloo has developed a Zero Waste UW Action Plan with initiatives in 5 key areas.

We're encouraging you to take the Zero Waste Challenge for the week, and have a number of events and activities to support you!

GooseChase at the University of Waterloo

The first ever week-long campus-wide scavenger hunt is coming to the University of Waterloo the week of March 11 to March 15.

University students, employees and staff can compete for a grand prize worth $500!

The week-long campaign gathers over 20 services, faculty, and clubs and across campus to host online and offline activities showing the amazing work that is already being done to progress sustainability and how they connect on campus.

The hunt features an exclusive viewing of the ‘Our Sustainable Future’ photography exhibition throughout the week as its first ever university viewing. The Lieutenant Governor and the Aga Khan Museum launched a photography exhibition featuring the works of secondary school students from the GTA. The event focuses on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and is being delivered in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum and Learning for a Sustainable Future. The Lieutenant Governor will be visiting the campus to provide remarks at the Global Solutions Conference on March 16th.
