The Faculties of Engineering and Health and the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology are partnering with the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute in The Praxis Ideation Challenge.
This initiative is a six-month staged design challenge. Its purpose is to encourage and support the development of commercializable ideas to improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injury. The initiative features an active learning curriculum, live pitches, mentorship, financial awards, and prototyping support.
The challenge is open to individuals as well as teams with defined ideas for improving the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injury. You could win up to $25,000 to further develop your innovative idea.
The application deadline is April 5, 2021. Applications can be submitted at the ideation website.
University of Waterloo-affiliated individuals/teams that are successful in this challenge could be eligible for an additional $3,000 in support.
