How to apply

If you wish to apply to the undergraduate program in the Department of Systems Design Engineering, please visit the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC). When you apply there you will need to select Engineering at the University of Waterloo with the appropriate program code.

Students who reside outside of Ontario or internationally should visit the OUAC 105 information page.

You will also need to submit an Application Information Form, which will help us better understand you, your capabilities and interests.

Options available to systems design students

Note: options often require taking extra courses during an academic term. Students are allowed to take one extra course during an academic term and must have an average of greater than 70% in each of the previous two academic terms.
