Abstract
Transportation engineers and planners have developed a suite of tools to understand travel behaviour and its time constraints. However, we face many other constraints on our consumption (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions targets, resource use limits, etc.) that are generally only considered in the aggregate and using classical economic thinking. This presentation will outline a research agenda for adapting transportation modeling methods and perspectives to broader social-environmental decision-making by households.
