About the speaker
Dr. Varuni Jayasooriya is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography, Geomatics, and Environment at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Varuni obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Engineering and Science, Victoria University, Australia, with the focus area of Environmental Engineering. She completed her B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) in the area of Earth Sciences and Engineering, from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She also holds professional working experience as an Assistant Professor for over 5 years with the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
