As of fall 2026 there is a new process for Engineering Supplemental Exams.
Beginning October 2026, Faculty of Engineering students will apply for Supplemental Exams through an internal system called Decisions. Students will receive an email from the system which will start the approval process. There are no longer registration forms that need to be signed outside of the system. Once approved, the system will produce a letter as proof of registration that can be used to pay for the Supplemental Exam.
You can submit your proof of registration and payment ($175) by logging in to our online e-commerce site using your University of Waterloo username and password. Once you have logged in, select Official Documents and choose Engineering Supplemental Final Exam Fee from the list. Upload your proof of registration and proceed to checkout. Payment must be completed via credit card.
Once payment has been received, the system will be notified. An automated process will be kicked off to add you to Learn. You will be notified by email when Learn access has been granted.
