- Sign in to Quest.
- Select the Financial Aid tile.

- Select the Bursary Application link from the left.

- The application form will open. Read the instructions and important information carefully.
- There are 11 sections but some sections will only appear if they apply to you based on your answers as you complete the application. Some sections are also optional. Make appropriate selections and provide accurate details for each section as required. For help with specific sections use these links:
- After completing all appropriate sections, including submitting and confirming your application, you can resubmit your application one additional time if you have made a mistake or need to update information.
Helpful tips
- For the best experience, we recommend completing your bursary application on a desktop or laptop computer. However, if you are using a mobile device, you must switch your mobile browser settings to "Desktop site" to view and access the application within Quest.
- Some sections of the form will be different depending on your selections. Be sure to select the correct options and enter details accurately to ensure that the application is correct when you submit it.
- You can clear the application and start over before submitting if you discover that you have made an incorrect selection(s) by selecting the "restart your bursary application" link:

Additional information for some sections
At the top of some sections of the application, you will see a question icon.
- Opening these will provide additional information to help you in correctly completing the section.
Uploading documents to your application
In some cases, you may be asked to upload documents.
- The maximum file size accepted is 4MB, and accepted file types are BMP, DOC, DOCX, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PDF, PNG, TIFF, TXT.
- Select the Upload button.
- Select the Choose File button and find the appropriate document on your device.

- Select Open then Upload.
Note: You can scroll down to the bottom of the page to see your uploaded documents and verify that you have uploaded them correctly.
Providing financial information
- Depending on your selections within the form, you may be asked for financial information for yourself, your parent(s), and/or your spouse (if applicable).
- You may also be required to provide estimated expenses.
- Do not add a $ symbol when entering financial details and do not include commas when entering amounts over 1000.00.
Specific Named Bursaries
- All students who are eligible for a bursary will be considered for all available bursary funds, including our donor-funded bursaries listed in the Undergraduate Awards Directory.
- Students do not need to identify the bursary they wish to be considered for or write a statement.
- Use the specific bursary consideration section of the application to assist us in matching your donor-funded bursary.
- Most donor-funded bursaries are limited in quantity and will be assigned in sequence to students who match the criteria.
Help with form sections
Your Enrolment Status
- Your Academic Career (undergraduate or graduate) should automatically be selected for you, based on your enrolment status.
- Make appropriate selections based on your enrolment for the term indicated.

Financial Aid Applications
- Make appropriate selections.
- Additional questions will pop up depending on your selections
- Students require a government student aid application or a restriction from a government student aid program to be considered for a bursary. If your response is “no” to the three qualifying questions in the financial aid applications section, you are ineligible for a UW bursary.

Your Personal Information
- Select your marital status and provide additional information as required.

Your Financial Information
- When providing financial details, do not add a $ symbol or include commas in amounts over 1000.00.
- Note: Do not list the savings from your prestudy period income under "Assets > Savings".

International students
- Enter the amount your parent(s) or sponsor is contributing toward your educational expenses for the term

Parental Information
- This section only appears if you have indicated that you are a single (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident) with a high school completion date within the past four years and one of the following scenarios is true:
- You are studying full-time and receiving government student aid from another province or territory.
- You are studying part-time and are receiving OSAP or government student aid from another province or territory.

Parental Income
- This section only appears if you have indicated that you are a single (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident) with a high school completion date within the past four years and one of the following scenarios is true:
- You are studying full-time and receiving government student aid from another province or territory.
- You are studying part-time and are receiving OSAP or government student aid from another province or territory.

Your Spouse's Income
- This section only appears if your marital status is married/common-law and one of the following scenarios are true:
- You are studying full-time and receiving government student aid from another province or territory.
- You are studying part-time and are receiving OSAP or government student aid from another province or territory.
- You are an International student studying full-time.

Specific Bursary Consideration (Optional)
This section is optional.


- Some bursaries are available for students who have participated in relevant curricular activities.
Complete this section if you have been involved in one or more of the listed extracurriculars and provide a description of your involvement (2,500 characters max)



International students
This section is mandatory if you did not apply for government student aid from your country of origin:

Submit
- Verify that all provided information is correct then select the Submit button.
Confirm Application
- Read the Declaration of Student statement carefully.
- If you are an OSAP recipient, read the For OSAP recipients section.
- Click the check box to confirm that you have read, understand, and agree with the statements.
- Select the Submit button.
